Cross-border shelling from Afghanistan kills one in Bajaur Agency

Mortar shells fired from across the border in Afghanistan hit a house in Charmang Tehsil of Bajaur, killing at least one man and injuring two others, a private news channel reported.

According to the report, officials confirmed that two mortar shells fired in the Pakistani territory from Afghanistan hit a tribesman’s house, leaving one dead and two injured.

The mortars were reportedly fired by militants.

The tribal areas of Mohmand and Bajaur Agencies, bordering Afghanistan, have previously been targeted in cross-border militant attacks as well.
