Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Hummayun Bashir Tarar has started considering proposal of appointment of sub inspector (SI) as station house officer (SHO) in place of police inspectors in the police stations at Rawalpindi.
This proposal has come under consideration in the wake of ill performance of inspectors as SHO in police station and shortage of inspectors in Rawalpindi Police.
Earlier, the experience of appointing sub inspectors as SHOs in police station remained successful. Over one dozen police inspectors have been sent to police lines due to inefficiency. Therefore, Rawalpindi CPO is mulling over induction of sub inspectors as SHOs in police stations of Rawalpindi after Muharram.
