Nawaz, Shahbaz discuss expansion of federal, Punjab cabinets, Mushahidullah to be made federal minister, both leaders reiterate to continue efforts to fulfil commitments made to people without caring for sit-ins
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif have decided to continue their untiring efforts for the development and prosperity of the country without worrying about the sit-ins and public rallies by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
During a meeting at Raiwind on Sunday, the Sharif brothers also exchanged views on the expansion of the federal and Punjab cabinets besides deliberating on the names of those who would be inducted in the newly-introduced slots of the cabinet.
Nawaz directed Shahbaz to continue his contacts with Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) members of the assemblies.
The PM advised the Punjab CM to again induct Rana Sanaullah as provincial law minister in view of his matchless services for the party, sources said.
However, Shahbaz said that Sanaullah wanted to clear his name from the ModelTown tragedy before rejoining of the provincial cabinet.
Sources added that the PML-N Information Secretary Senator Mushahidullah was likely to become federal minister following the expansion of the cabinet.
The two leaders decided not to let the protest sit-ins and public rallies faze their efforts for the masses’ wellbeing.
Expressing their determination to overcome power load shedding and foil all conspiracies against the government, the two leaders vowed to fulfil every commitment made to the people during the elections. They reiterated that PML-N had come to power with the votes of the people and would not hurt their confidence.
The PM once again declared that the government would complete its constitutional term and next elections would only be held in 2018.
