Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said Sunday that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is disappearing from Sindh just as it has disappeared from Punjab.
“PPP has buried Bhutto’s ideology with the martyrdom of party leader Benazir Bhutto and is now being run by Asif Ali Zardari,” said Qureshi while talking to reporters at Jatoi House.
In an answer to Zardari’s statement a day earlier wherein he had asked who was funding the big anti-government protest rallies, Qureshi said that those alleging that PTI rallies were funded by foreign hands should approach the courts to prove their allegations.
The PTI leader said that misconduct of PPP activists was also witnessed during PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s speech.
“The people of Sindh are in need of an alternative leadership,” he said as he announced that PTI would launch the “Sindh Jagao Campaign” from a rally in Larkana on November 21. He said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had instituted cases against PPP leader Khursheed Shah and PTI Chairman Imran Khan had not accused Shah of corruption.
