A man committed suicide while, separately, two people were critically injured in a hatchet attack on Saturday.
Luqman, 45, and Zainab, 42, were seriously injured when unidentified armed men attacked them with hatchets in Shamsoo Goth, Quaidabad. They were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for treatment.
The motive behind the attack and further details could not be ascertained.
In another incident, a man Kamran, 28, son of Anwar, committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Surjani Town Sector B. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal procedure.
