CDA demolishes encroachments on 9th Avenue, IJP Road

The Capital Development Authority during an operation against encroachments and illegal constructions, teams of Enforcement Directorate demolished a house comprising of two rooms adjacent to the grave yard on the Ninth (9th) Avenue, which falls in the route of Metro Bus Project and was causing hindrance in the project. Officers of Rawalpindi Development Authority also participated in this operation.
During another operation on I. J Principal Road, Enforcement Directorate demolished an under-construction plaza adjacent to Turbo CNG near Carriage Factory and retrieved CDA’s land from illegal occupants. Similarly, during another operation ten (10) illegal animal sheds near Pindora Chungi, one (01) hotel in sector I-10 and four (04) huts near Katarian Pul were also demolished and four (04) trucks of enriched material have also been confiscated.
Chairman CDA, Mr. Maroof Afzal has directed Deputy Directed General Enforcement to continue anti-encroachment drive without any fear or favour and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard. Chairman CDA further directed to ensure effective monitoring so that encroachments could not be cropped up again.
