Bid to blow electricity tower foiled

A terrorism bid to blow up the high power transmission line tower was foiled when police and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused four bombs each weighing about 2 kilogrammes, near village Faqeer Muhammad Bugti, three kilometres from Larkana on Saturday.

Acting on a tip off, a police team reached village Faqeer Muhammad Bugti and found four bombs planted in a tower of Karachi-Guddu high transmission electricity line. The BDS defused all four bombs.

ASP city Hassan Sardar Niazi told media that unidentified terrorists had planted four explosive devices to destroy the power supply line of Karachi; however, timely action thwarted this attempt.

Police launched search operation to apprehend the culprits.
