Pak-Iran border tensions continued for the second day today (Saturday) as Iranian border troops fired mortars inside Pakistani territory, a private news channel reported.
The report quoted officials saying that five shells were fired on a security check post in Mashkhel area of Balochistan.
No casualties were reported.
On Friday, Iranian border security forces violated Pakistani border and resorted to heavy firing on a convoy of Frontier Corps (FC) leaving a soldier martyred and three others injured.
The Balochistan government has called upon the federal government to take up the Iranian violation issue on diplomatic forums.
