KARACHI-
An elderly supporter of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) died from heat and humidity in Karachi today, a private news channel reported Saturday.
The report quoted police and rescue officials saying the man was standing in a queue for a security checking at Shahrah-e-Quaideen when he fell unconscious.
He was given first-aid but could not survive and died before he could be shifted to a hospital.
He has been identified as 50-year-old Jhandu Khaskheli, a resident of Umarkot , Sindh.
The body has been shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
This is a clear evidence of the cruel treatment . Men women and young people have been herded in and this man succumbed to hunger and not heat.
