ISLAMABAD-
The Senate of Pakistan, on Friday, unanimously passed a resolution paying tribute to Pakistan’s young education campaigner, Malala Yousafzai, for winning the Nobel Peace Prize, a private news channel reported.
The resolution was tabled by ANP’s Haji Adeel, congratulating Malala on behalf of all political parties in the upper house.
The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded last Friday, to the 17-year-old Yousafzai and India’s Kailash Satyarthi for their championing of children rights.
Malala, the youngest Nobel laureate, leapt to global fame after the Taliban militants tried to gun her down in October 2012 for her educational campaign.
She survived the attack and was shifted to UK for treatment.
