Pakistan asks Iran to provide proof of border infiltration

ISLAMABAD-

Islamabad on Friday urged Tehran to provide proof of infiltration of terrorists into Iran from Pakistani side of the border,a private news channel reported.

Addressing a weekly briefing, Pakistan’s Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said that Tehran has not provided any proof of infiltration.

“If Iran has any proof it should share it with the Border Management Committee,” she added.

Earlier this week, Iran’s ministry of interior said that Iran will protest with Pakistan for its ‘lax control’ over the bordering areas. Ministry’s spokesman said that this was not acceptable that terrorists use Pakistan’s soil to hit Iran.

Reacting to the statement, Aslam said that Pakistan itself is fighting a war against terrorism and added Islamabad seeks support and cooperation from all the neighbouring countries.
