Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Thursday has announced to kick off ‘Pakistan Movement’ at Minar-e-Pakistan from November 21.

Addressing a news conference at JI headquarters, JI Ameer Sirajul Haq said that the movement will be started from November 21-23 with the slogans of Islami Pakistan, Brighter Pakistan.

Siraj criticised the corrupt Pakistani elite and rulers as he said that despite the claims there is no relief for the general public.

The JI chief urged the public support to free Pakistan from 5% corrupt elites, adding that due to the corruption culture in the country, children have become a burden for parents instead of an asset.

The JI wants a Pakistan where everyone should be accountable before law, said Haq.

He further said that Pakistan borders were not secured despite the country being nuclear power.

Siraj said tribal people had been left to fend for themselves. No one is coming up to help them, he lamented.

He said Islamic system was the only solution to all problems facing the country.

“We need to struggle for Pakistan, where justice should prevail and dispensed properly,” he said, adding “we see Punjabi, Pathan, Sindhi and Baloch, but we don’t see Paksitani anywhere.”
