21 outlaws arrested, contraband seized

The police have arrested 21 outlaws during special vigilance throughout the city and recovered 2.150 kilogrammes of hashish, 170 liquor bottles and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said Wednesday.

According to details, Bhara Kahu Police nabbed a bootlegger and recovered 24 liquor bottles from him while another accused Zubair Ahmed was arrested in possession of Kalashnikov and five rounds.

Industrial Area Police apprehended John Marnat and Santhia Sadiq during special checking and recovered 146 liquor bottles and 1.130 kilogrammes of hashish from them while two thieves namely Sadiq and Tariq were also arrested.

Margallah Police arrested Rustam Khan for having stolen mobile while Sabzi Mandi Police nabbed two dacoits Javed and Usman.

Shehzad Town Police arrested a drug pusher Sajid Iqbal for having 1.020 kilogrammes of hashish while Koral Police nabbed Salam for selling petroleum products illegally.

Gorla Police arrested accused Fazal Rehim and recovered two 30-bore pistols along with ammunition.

Industrial Area Police nabbed Sarfraz and recovered one 30-bore pistol from him while two dacoits Sohial Ahmed and Ehsan Ullah were also apprehended. Loi Bher Police arrested four accused namely Ayaz, Sajid Ahmed, Amir and Haider and recovered one 30-bore pistol and stolen property from their possession.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.

In special crackdown against absconders, the police arrested two proclaimed offenders wanted to various police stations for their involvement in crime of heinous nature.
