Board of Intermediate Education Karachi Tuesday announced the result for Higher Secondary Certificate part one (Class XI) private candidates. Out of a total of 6,130 candidates who appeared in the examinations, 792 were declared pass in all subjects. The pass percentage was 12.92 percent.
Details available in the result gazette issued Tuesday showed that 6,531 private candidates had been registered while 6,169 appeared in the exams, 362 remained absent and the result of 39 candidates was withheld.
Those who appeared in the exam included 1,974 girls and 4,156 boys while 348 girls and 444 boys were declared passed in all seven papers followed by 312 girls and 544 boys in six papers; 289 girls and 676 boys in five papers; 285 girls and 672 boys in four papers; 247 girls and 605 boys in three papers; 198 girls and 538 boys in two papers whereas 194 girls and 473 boys cleared only one paper.
