Rawalpindi Arts Council in collaboration with South Asian plus Relief has arranged a ceremony for the distribution of quilts for the flood affected persons of Punjab.
Malik Habib Khan, former Federal Interior Minister was chief guest and Dr Ghulam Akbar Principal Islamabad Medical College presided over the ceremony. Waqar Ahmed Resident Director, Rawalpindi Arts Council and Rana Abdul Baqi, Chairman South Asian plus Relief were also present on the occasion.
Addressing at the occasion, Dr Ghulam Akbar Principal Islamabad Medical College said that it is our religious and moral duty to help these people. The Pakistan Army took active part in the flood rescue activities. The trucks loaded with the warms quilts were handed over to the ArmyReliefCollectionCenter for the distribution among the flood affected people.
Malik Habib Khan said that it is our religious and moral obligation to help flood affected people of Pakistan and we would not leave them alone in miserable condition. Rana Abdul Baqi Chairman of the forum told the participant that South Asian plus Relief is not an NGO but the forum take active part in the relief activities for the low paid families by the help of its family’s members and friends.
