PMDC de-notifies seven universities

Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has written a letter to the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and coordination to de-notify seven universities for not having their constituent medical or dental college.

According to PMDC, these universities included University of Punjab Lahore, Quaid-e-AzamUniversityIslamabad, Hazara University Mansehra, Sarhad University Peshawar, University of Peshawar, University of Sindh Hyderabad Jamshoro and University of Karachi.

It said that after the Amendment Act 2012 universities that do not have their own constituent medical dental college will not be recognized and notified by the PMDC. He said that if any of such university intends to have constituent medical or dental college or both can apply for its recognition or inclusion of their names in the 1st schedule of PMDC Ordinance.

  1. Respected Sir ! In mbbs admission in disability quota seats. 20% disability is much where as other provinces criteria is different.As a result, disables having very good aggregates cannnot get admission.Much diability is observed but efficiency is ignored in this policy. Request for justice. suggestion: Aggregate percentage + Disability marks %age= merit to get admission

  2. GOVT HAS CLEAR POLICY TO PRIVATIZE HEALTH AND EDUCATION. GOVT DO NOT WANT TO EXPENSE IN HEATH AND EDUCATION. SINCE LONG, GOVT SCHOOLS, TEACHERS, NO. OF DOCTORS ARE BEING REDUCED AS PER POLICY. PRIVATE SECTOR IS ENCOURAGED. AS PER POLICY, GOVT SECTOR IS BEING badnam INTENSIONALLY..
