Shahzaib – a footballer who represented Pakistan on international level – is among four suspects who were gunned down on Sunday morning in an alleged encounter in Malir.
Shahzaib represented Pakistan in two international football events in Iran and China in 2013. The 15-year-old Shahzaib played as midfielder in Pakistan football under-14 team.
“Shahzaib was emerging as a star player. This news has shocked me,” his captain Uzair Sadiq said while speaking to a private TV channel.
Shahzaib’s family claimed he was sleeping at his sister’s residence at Malir from where some persons in plainclothes took him with them and after few hours the family was informed that Shahzaib had been killed in an encounter.
