12 drugs pushers, car thieves arrested

Islamabad Police has apprehended 12 accused including two Afghan car lifters and recovered 25.660 kg charas, one car, 1100 grams heroin from their possession, a police spokesman said on Sunday.

According to details, Inspector General Islamabad Police Tahir Alam Khan had issued directives to ensure vigilance and apprehend the suspected culprits in order to provide relief and protection to the citizens. SSP Islamabad Asmat Ullah Junejo directed the relevant police officials to launch a crack down against the culprits and ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens.

The anti car lifting cell headed by SP investigations Jamil Ahmed Hashmi apprehended a suspect Zazay Khan alias Jan Agha s/o Naqibullah resident of Bagram, Afghanistan and recovered 20 kg charas and one car from his possession. A case has been registered against him in Police Station Tarnol under relevant clauses of the law of the land.According to preliminary investigations the suspect has confessed lifting 55 cars.

The special team has also apprehended another suspect Javed Khan s/o Bismillah Khan, a resident of Bagram, Afghanistan and recovered two kg charas from his possession.

Likewise Sub inspectors of Shahzad Town Police Station Tariq Rauf and Shams Akbar have arrested drug peddlers Firdous BiBi and Ghulam Abbas and recovered 1.100 kg heroin, 1.4 kg charas from their possession. The police have recovered one 30 bore pistol alongwiht 60 rounds from another suspect Asad Mehmood. Sub inspector Police Station Koral Muhammad Akram has recovered 1.5 kg charas on pointation of Muhammad Bashir. Bhara Kahu Police have recovered 300 gram charas from Qaisar Mehmood. Sub inspector Sihala Police Staion Muhammad Hanif has recovered 1.110 kg charas from the possession of Hidayatullah.

Lohi Bher Police station have arrested three thieves Sajjad Ahmed, Aamir Shah and Haider Ali and recovered the looted goods and Rs 55,000 cash from their possession.

The police have recovered Haq Nawaz and recovered 30 bore pistol, four rounds. Separate cases have been registered against the culprits and investigations initiated against them.

Islamabad Police chief Tahir Alam Khan has announced prizes for the police team, who apprehended the car lifters. SSP Asmat Ullah Junejo has lauded the performance of police and directed strict vigilance against anti-social elements.
