Don’t test our patience, Shahbaz warns India

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited border areas of Sialkot and Pasrur on Thursday and distributed cheques of financial assistance among the families of the victims of unprovoked firing of Indian armed forces. Earlier, he went to Sialkot Combined Military Hospital (CMH) and enquired after the injured persons.

Addressing public meetings during his visit to Charwah sector, Shahbaz said that unprovoked firing by India on unarmed, peaceful and innocent Pakistanis is condemnable. He said that tension in the region is increasing due to Indian aggression and United Nations (UN) should take immediate notice and play its role.

He said that India will have to change its attitude. He said that Pakistan is a nuclear power and has the capability to reply to any act of aggression.

The chief minister said that unprovoked firing by India on Pakistani citizens is intolerable and the blood of the youth, women and elderly people who have sacrificed their lives for the country will never go in vain.

He demanded that India should immediately stop its blatant aggression as 180 million Pakistani people and armed forces of the country are fully united under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He said that the Indian prime minister and its leadership should show a sane attitude. He said that UN should also take immediate measures to control rising tension as Pakistani leadership does not want instability in the region. He said that India is responsible for undermining peace in this part of the world.

He said that the whole Pakistani nation condemns Indian barbarism and the Pakistani nation is standing shoulder to shoulder with their brave armed forces. The chief minister said India should not forget that Pakistan became a nuclear power on May 28, 1998 under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.

Shahbaz said that he will live and die with the masses and reach the distressed people anywhere. The chief minister gave away cheques of financial assistance to the heirs of the citizens who were martyred due to provoked firing by the Indian forces in Charwah sector.

Earlier, he enquired after the persons who were injured due to Indian firing at Sialkot CMH. He went to every injured person individually, inquired about their health, presented flowers to them and prayed for their early recovery. The chief minister also gave cheques of financial assistance to the injured persons. He said that firing on peaceful and innocent citizens is cowardly and deplorable act.
