While distributing Eid gifts among the poor on the occasion of Eidul Azha at Chief Minister’s House Khairpur on Monday, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has asked the affluent to remember the poor on Eid.
Congratulating the Muslims, the chief minister said that Eid gives a lesson to all Muslims to sacrifice the most beloved thing in the way of Allah Almighty.
“This Eid is in fact a day to reiterate our love with humanity and inculcate the spirit of sacrifice among the masses,” he said, asking people from all walks of life to uphold the philosophy of Eidul Azha and demonstrate a true spirit of sacrifice for humanity.
The chief minister said Eidul Azha is a Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS). Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) also continued the Sunnah which not only shows its importance but also enables Muslims to learn the true spirit of Eidul Azha, he added.
“The prosperity, peace, development and national integrity should be in our minds while going for Eidul Azha celebrations,” the CM said.
On the occasion, Khairpur Deputy Commissioner Munwar Ali Mithiani and PPP leaders were also present.
