Bhai says MQM will be successful in next elections

Addressing his workers in the city via telephone, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain announced that the party would be successful in the next elections and those doubting its popularity would be disappointed.
“Everyone who is doubting the popularity of MQM will see in the next elections how successful we will be and we will prove them all wrong,” Hussain said, adding, “People who are saying that MQM’s vote bank is empty should come and count the hides that we have been given.”
Hussain dared certain electronic media news analysts to count the hides of sacrificial animals the residents of Karachi had donated to his party before claiming the MQM was going bankrupt in terms of voters.
“Millions of hides have been received by the MQM in Karachi alone. Our dedicated electors have voluntarily donated these hides to the party. Need I say more,” he said.
Moving ahead, he said that the day was not far when the oppressed Sindhis would be delivered from the jaws of ‘waderas’ (feudal lords).
“No one ever bothered to change the fate of rural Sindh in the 67 years of Pakistan’s independence. The parts of the province ruled by the ‘waderas’ have not seen any development to date,” said a concerned Hussain.
The MQM leader said that as a gesture of good will he had forgiven those of his rivals who had been speaking foul against him lately.
“On the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha, I pardon my political antagonists even though they used impolite language in a bid to assassinate my character,” Hussain said.
The MQM chief went on to laud the hard work and courage of his workers, adding that God will bless them and give them success. He said that spirits of MQM workers will not be deterred by the propagandists nor will party’s popularity decrease.
Hussain said that MQM’s vote bank is increasing and that the criticizers will face embarrassing defeat.
MQM chief appealed the workers to pray for his return to Pakistan and dispelled the rumors about grouping within his party.
