JUI-F, ASWJ leaders among four dead in Karachi violence

At least four people, including a local supporter of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and a member of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) were shot dead in different incidents of firing in Karachi on Tuesday.

Unidentified armed men on a motorbike gunned down JUI-F’s Maulana Muhammad Sajid in the Pirabad area of the city. The body of the deceased was shifted to a private local hospital.

In an earlier incident, a member of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) was shot dead in Karachi’s North Nazimabad area. He was identified as Maulana Masood.

Members of ASWJ protested against the killing on the road leading from Ziauddin Hospital to Karimabad following the incident.

Separately, a firing incident in Essa Nagri killed one child, while unidentified men opened fire in the Sachal Goth area, leaving one dead dead and another injured.
