LDA gifts first ever Bikers’ Ring to Lahorites

Under the supervision of the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has executed another three mega projects, including the first ever Bikers’ Ring in Pakistan and two double U-turns at Ferozepur Road.

For facilitating smooth flow of traffic, avoiding traffic jams, decreasing travel time and cutting down fuel consumption, these projects worth Rs 3.1 billion have been completed in a record time of 180 days.

Pakistan’s first ever Bikers’ Ring, constructed at Khayra Chungi Amer Sidhu intersection will facilitate movement of 40 thousand pedestrians, 20 thousand motorbike riders and six thousand bike riders daily.

More than three hundred and fifty thousand vehicles per day will benefit from the construction of two double U-turns at Ghazi Road / Lahore General Hospital and Kamahan / Chungi Amer Sidhu. The fuel cost saving will be Rs 4.20 billion per annum.

The LDA has finalised six mega projects in the provincial metropolis during a period of eight months including Walton Fly over, Azadi Chowk Interchange, Qainchi Signal Free Junction and the aforementioned three projects.
