The Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Ltd (SNGPL) has expressed its inability to provide gas to CNG stations in Punjab on 7th and 8th of October.
The SNGPL said the government had announced the provision of gas from CNG stations on all the three days of Eidul Azha but due to maintenance work at Qadirpur gas field, it would not be possible to provide gas on second and third day of Eid. However, gas would be available on the first day of Eid and the motorists would have to depend on costly fuel on other days, it added.
On the other hand, domestic consumers suffered a lot on Thursday and Monday last in Rawalpindi and Islamabad as there was zero pressure because the CNG filling stations were open and they use compressors to extract maximum gas.
