As learning is becoming a universal theme, the Teachers’s Forum sees a great opportunity in Learning (Re)imagined: How the connected society is transforming learning — a book innovation in learning and teaching.
In a meeting of the forum on Wednesday, forum president Tayyaba Khan welcomed the publication by The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), a leading international initiative driving innovation and collaboration in education. The book is written by Graham Brown-Martin and illustrated with images by Newsha Tavakolian. The book explores how the digitally connected society is transforming learning.
Khan said the book took the author and photographer on a world tour –to Brazil, China, Ghana, India, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States. She said they visited school and projects, and met with educationists and leaders. The book explores how educationists face the challenge of what to teach and how to teach in a connected society.
“The WISE Books offer unique perspectives from around the world on the most innovative ways to approach today’s pressing educational challenges at all levels and in diverse environments. This book will help spread some of the latest thinking and new models of creative action in education,” said WISE chairman Dr Abdulla bin Ali Al-Thani.
