Rawalpindi Cantonment Executive Officer Fahim Zafar Khan has imposed ban on opening new private schools in the residential areas of Rawalpindi Cantt.
Cantonment Board and Private Schools Organizations have reached consensus on formulating policy with regard to the private schools already functioning in residential areas. No action will be taken against the private educational institutions without assigning any reason. SOP in place will be fully implemented in letter and spirit for promotion of quality education.
Fahim Zafar Khan said that high court had ordered for bringing to end all commercial activities in the residential areas of Rawalpindi Cantt. “Private schools which don’t fulfil the conditions of SOP will be given adequate time to relocate from residential areas and not to deviate from provisions of SOP.”
