The Hyderi police on Wednesday conducted a raid in Nazimabad and arrested two alleged extortionists and recovered weapons, car, and mobile phones from their possession.
According to a report, Station House Officer (SHO) Chaudhry Muhammad Tufail raided near Zia Uddin Hospital (ZUH) and arrested extortionists Haseeb and Javed and recovered two pistols, two magazine and 10 rounds, a vehicle and a mobile cell from their possession.
Police said the accused confessed to demanding Rs 1,00,000 extortion money from one Abdul Ghaffar, a merchant of Hyderi Market. The accused were also wanted in different criminal activities.
