Five killed, four injured in separate shootings

Five people were killed and four others injured in separate incidents of violence in the metropolis on Tuesday.
A youth, Shahzaib, 20, son of Azeem, resident of Kati Pahari, was shot dead near Sakhi Hassan Chowrangi.
Temoria station house officer (SHO) confirmed that unidentified armed men shot a Shah Zaib near Mobile Market at Sakhi Hassan Chowrangi when he offered resistance to them over robbery. The accused fled after swift operation. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy.
In another incident, the handcuffed body of an unidentified person, aged about 55, was found beneath the Rexel Bridge. The body was bearing bullet marks. It was shifted to ASH for medico-legal-formalities.
Yet in another incident, a girl, Saima, 22, daughter of Shehzad Khan, resident of City Railway Colony, committed suicide by taking poisonous substance at her home. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.
Yar Muhammad, 45, son of Atta Muhammad, was shot dead by unknown gunned men near Sindhi Goth in Gulshan-e Hadid. The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy.
A 25-year-old man was tortured to death somewhere and his body was thrown in Kalapull Road. The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy.
Separately, Arif, 50, son of Suleman, resident of Malir, and Javed, 30, son of Badaruddin, resident of Liaqatabad, were injured in firing by unidentified men in Malir when they were on their way to somewhere. Both were shifted to JPMC and were discharged after first aid.
An unidentified man, 25, was shot and injured by unidentified men near Millennium Mall in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. He was shifted to Agha Khan Hospital for treatment.
Muneer Ahmed, 24, son of Freed Ahmed, residence of Chakiwara, was injured by unidentified gunned man in Chakiwara Eidgah. The injured was rushed to Civil Hospital for treatment.
