Rawalpindi City Traffic Police (CTP) has decided to issue learning and driving licenses to students after imparting training in driving in their respective schools and colleges.
Directives in this regard have been issued to education unit of CTP which is already continuing its awareness campaign on traffic laws in educational institutions.
It has been decided that education unit staff will impart driving training to those students who are found eligible for this purpose and who have been issued National Identity Cards (NIC). The students who have not obtained NIC being under age will be provided training and when they comes up to merit they will be issued learning license and later they will be issued driving license on completion of period prescribed for learning license.
