Pak Navy, Chinese 17th Navy Convoy fleet to hold bilateral naval exercise
Pakistan Navy fleet combat units Saturday demonstrated Live Weapons Firing in North Arabian Sea during a mega event attended by Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Asif Sandila. The activity was undertaken to validate the lethality, precision and efficacy of Pakistan Navy’s weapon systems.
The fire power included firing of Torpedo from Agosta 90-B Class Submarine and anti-ship guided missile from Fast Attack Missile Craft.
All the weapons fired were fired successfully and hit the targets with pin-point accuracy, re-asserting the “offensive punch of Pakistan Navy Fleet”.
The naval chief expressed complete satisfaction on Pakistan Navy Fleet units’ readiness for combat and lauded the remarkable display of professionalism.
Reiterating the need to remain ready to respond to any challenge to national security, the naval chief appreciated the diligence, true sense of loyalty towards profession and the commitment of officers and other personnel of the Pakistan Navy Fleet to protect Pakistan’s Maritime Frontiers.
PAK-CHINA NAVAL EXERCISE:
In the meanwhile, Pakistan Navy and Chinese 17th Navy Convoy fleet will hold a bilateral naval exercise with an aim to enhance interoperability and operational understanding. Chinese 17th Navy Convoy Fleet, headed by Deputy Chief of Staff East Sea Fleet Rear Admiral Huang Xinjian will participate in the exercise which includes an elaborate harbor and sea phase.
The exercise which is the first of its kind is a landmark reflection of the historic ties between the two navies as well as a true manifestation of convergence of strategic interests of the Pakistan and China which will go a long way in promoting maritime security and stability in the region.
