A luncheon was hosted by newly appointed US Consul General Zachary V Harkenrider at his residence on Saturday.
A small gathering of dignitaries from different walks of life attended the event. The prominent among them were Pakistan Today Editor Arif Nizami, senior politician Abida Hussain, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shafqat Mehmood, former finance minister Salman Shah, Imtiaz Alam and many others. The newly appointed consul-general introduced his staff and welcomed the guests. He also said that he was not new to the region. There was a local musical performance at the end of the event.
