KARACHI-
Sindh Assembly on Thursday passed a resolution against division of the province, moved by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) assembly member Sohail Akbar, a private news channel reported.
In the absence of MPAs from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) , which has recently demanded to create more administrative units in Sindh, the resolution was jointly moved by PPP MPAs led by Sohail Akbar.
The opposition members from MQM had earlier walked out of the assembly in protest after Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza didn’t allow MQM’s Shahyar Mehar to move a resolution.
MQM members also announced to boycott the assembly session in protest of arrest of its workers overnight.
