*Shahbaz says protestors risked country’s future to serve their politics

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday alleged that the protest leaders have risked the country’s future just to serve their own purposes.

He said this while addressing journalists after signing various memorandums with a Chinese company.

“Even enemies wouldn’t do what sit-in protesters did,” he said.

The chief minister said that the cooperation with China is being delayed because of the sit-ins which is harmful for the country. He said that the Chinese investors are worried because of the political instability in the country.

He also claimed that the electricity projects are being harmed by the protests.

Earlier, during the session to review arrangements to pay the flood affectees, Shahbaz said that the task to financially assist the flood affected people will be completed promptly. He said that he will himself review the whole payment process.
