6 killed, 4 injured in separate incidents

As many as six people were killed and four others injured in separate incidents of firing in the city on Wednesday.

Bhaloo, 25, an alleged robber, was killed in a police encounter during a raid in OrangiTown. According to rescue and police sources, the deceased was killed in retaliation by police when he and his other two companions opened fire on police personnel. Police also claimed of arresting two of his associates. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal affairs.

In another incident, Muhammad Kashif, 30, son of Mushtaq, was shot dead by unidentified armed men near Bhens Colony. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for an autopsy. However, the motive behind target killing could not be ascertained.

Yet in another incident, an unidentified man, was shot dead by some miscreants near Gate No 6, Truck Terminal, Mauripur area. The body was shifted to CHK for an autopsy.

Meanwhile, Salman, 22, son of Ayaz, resident of Baldia, was shot injured by unidentified armed men near Siemens Chowrangi. He was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment. The attack was carried out when he offered resistance to robbery.

Separately, two people, Zakir, 46, son of Abdul Mannan, and Osman, 40, son of Muhammad Akil, were shot injured by two unidentified armed motorcyclists at Mazedar Food Street at Anda Mor North Karachi. Both injured were taken to ASH for treatment.

Moreover, Afzal, 30, son of Muhammad Akram, was shot injured by unidentified armed motorcyclist in Usmanabad, Dhobi Ghat area. He was taken to CHK for treatment.

While a three-day-old dead body with severe tortured marks was recovered near HubRiver in jurisdictions of HamdardUniversity.

The deceased was identified as Soomro, son of Zaman, aged 45. However more details could not be ascertained.

ROAD ACCIDENTS:

Moreover, three people were killed separate road mishaps in the city yesterday.

Lal Muhammad, 50, son of Sattar, was run over by a speeding car near Aslam Hotel, Lines Area. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy.

In another road accident, Sabir Hussain, 18, son of Zafar Hussain, was killed near Zia Colony. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico-legal affairs.

Meanwhile, Abdul Aziz, 60, son of Ghulam Hussain, was hit by fast moving vehicle near Goddam Chowrangi, Shershah who later succumbed to injuries at JMPC.
