While addressing passing out parade of probationers assistant sub inspector of police in Police College Sihala on Monday, Punjab Police Inspector General Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhaira said that police is vigilant to curb terrorism and crimes and in order to promote professional skills of police force, they had been equipping it with latest training facilities.
Additional IG Usman Khattak, Police College Sihala Commandant Muhammad Aamir Zulfaqar Khan, Deputy Commandant Capt (r) Muhammad Shoaib, senior police officers, faculty members and under training officers present on the occasion.
Smartly dressed contingents of police marched passed in front of dice. The IG took the salute and appreciated the high standard of the parade. He said that in the present age where criminals had find out new methods of criminal activities, it is imperative that standard of police training would also be improved in accordance with the requirements. He said police force has rendered great services for maintenance of peace and police officers and officials had martyred their lives in discharging their professional responsibilities.
Sukhaira said that latest weapons had been provided to police to enable them to foil the attempts of anti state elements. He said that police force had been made service-oriented police by imparting them training of security intelligence, crime central investigation and other similar disciplines.
Police College Sihala Commandant Muhammad Aamir Zulfaqar Khan presenting welcome address said that syllabus of college had been reviewed and new disciplines incorporated in training modules. He said technical training of record maintaining and investigation had been given to under training police officers in Police College Sihala besides giving them training of martial art, PT parade, sports and elite training. He also highlighted some problems of the college. Later, Police Punjab IG awarded prizes to probationers on their outstanding performances during training.
