Looking at the turmoil the nation is going through due to one alphabet and two words is beyond comprehension. Those who advocate democracy, it seems, do not believe in it as they go against the essence of the great philosophy and responsibility related to it. If you ask them what democracy is, they emotionally tell you that the parliament members elected by the people and their rule is democracy. For them electoral poll and a government formed is the result of democracy. There is no satisfactory response on the deliverance and actions. Yes, there are factsheets which a common man has no idea about, but he can feel happy that the future is very bright.

The other group believing in ‘D’ factor are the ones who believe in dictatorship. They are of the view that there is a need of people who make others follow rules without raising a question. Changes are possible only through strict rules of governance.

A common man is caught between the devil and the blue sea as for him ‘D’ is a mindset which one changes with the changing environment. When out of power everyone preaches democracy and once in authority the same attitude changes into dictatorship. They want their rules to be followed and their actions to be appreciated. There is a need to understand this ‘D’ mystery and its true meaning.
