Residents demand repair of leaking pipelines

The residents of Askari 7, 13 & 14 and numerous colonies in the area have demanded of the MES authorities to repair the leaking water pipelines along Adiala and Fort roads which is not only wasting potable water but also breaking up the roads.
Col (r) Ramzan, a resident of Askari VII, said, “We have made a number of complaints with the concerned but of no avail.” He said the residents were facing shortage of water but adding real agony was the breakage of the over-loaded road.
Col (r) Rashid, another resident of the colony, said a minor repair of the leaking pipeline will be of no use as there is a ruptured line which needs a major repair to rectify the problem and ensure that the road does not collapse which will cut off link to various areas.
Similarly, the leaking line along Fort Road is breaking up the newly built road and students who walk down to school along it spoil their shoes and uniform from splashing water, called for its timely repair.
