Federal Minister of State for Water and Power Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali has said that making new provinces is a provincial subject and if the provincial assembly of a certain province votes in its favour, it is its right.
Talking to a private television channel Sunday during his visit to Multan, Abid Sher Ali said that sit-in holders wanted to push Pakistan back into dark ages. He said that government was, by no means, in a tough situation as it has the support of Parliament which represents 180 million people of Pakistan.
Ali further said that former president Pervez Musharraf government could not prove any corruption against Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N). “People living in 700-kanal houses should tell what is their source of income”, said Abid Sher Ali.
