TTP commander Hasan Rahmallah, hailing from Kabul,  was killed in Boya area of NWA during a clash with the security personnel, TTP spokesman Shahidullah Shahid  said in a statement.

The statement added that Hasan had recently been released from an Afghan prison and had “reunited with his comrades” in Pakistan.

Shahid added that the clash erupted when TTP and local Mehsud fighters collectively attacked Pakistan army personnel.

He also claimed that the attack caused  significant losses to the military.

The militant group has also rejected security forces’ claims of killing local and foreign militants during Zarb-e-Azb Operation in the tribal area. It has also stated that the men captured for attack on Malala Yousafzai do not belong to TTP.
