Former Pakistan captain and senior batsman, Younis Khan, is confident that the Green Shirts will win Cricket World Cup 2015.

“Our team is defiantly capable of clinching the title. Pakistan has a good track record and everybody knows we can at least qualify for final, and if God willing we will win the world cup trophy,” said Khan.

Pakistan won T20 World Cup in 2007 in Khan’s captaincy. He was speaking to media persons in Karachi during unveiling of ICC World Cup trophy that was unveiled in Lahore yesterday by Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq. Misbah pledged to win the 2015 world cricket tournament.

The trophy has arrived in Pakistan on a global tour after visiting Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh and Afghanistan since starting its journey in July. The world tournament will be played in Australia and New Zealand from February 14 to March 29, 2015. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) today named Shahid Afridi as captain of the Pakistan T20.
