Jamaat Islami (JI) has threatened to quit the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government if its demands of including in the curriculum chapters regarding Islam and ideology of Pakistan are not accepted.
Addressing a news conference in Peshawar, JI provincial chief Professor Muhammad Ibrahim said his party’s negotiations with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are in progress against changes in the curriculum.
He said if our demands are not accepted, we will not hesitate to part ways with PTI. The JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief said the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and PTI should abandon stubborn attitude and resolve their differences on the issue amicably.
