Area officer and two DSPs have been transferred following the mismanagement and chanting of slogans of “Go Nawaz Go” by the people on the eve of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Sial More (Kot Momin).

The investigations are underway and reshuffling of more officers is likely to take place.

The Punjab IG has issued orders for transfer of DSP Kot Momin Raza Kar Hussain Shah and DSP Silanwali Muhammad Latif.

Sources said both the officers were deployed on duty at helipad and venue of briefing during the PM’s visit.

The people chanted slogans “Go Nawaz Go” and staged a sit-in on motorway soon after PM left the area after his visit.

The sources said the local PML-N workers had complained against these two police officers that they pushed them back with sticks and other people got chance to move forward and raised slogans against the PM.
