ISLAMABAD-
Pakistan Army has rescued 55,967 persons to safer places and distributed 1,816 tons ration of flood hit areas during relief and rescue operation in recent floods, said the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.
According to ISPR, 24 medical camps have been established where army doctors have treated 17,182 patients. Besides, 24 relief camps have also been established in major cities including Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan and Karachi.
Up to 90.2 ton ration collected in the relief camps so far has been dispatched to flood affected areas.
