Bilawal stands with flood victims in troubled waters

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, accompanied by former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, National Assembly Opposition Leader Syed Khurshid Shah and PPP Punjab President Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, arrived in Lahore Thursday after visiting the flood-affected areas of both sides of the River Chenab near Chiniot and Gujrat.
Bilawal, who had earlier left for the flood-hit areas from Lahore on a chopper, set aside all the protocols in Chiniot and mixed with the flood victims, assuring that the PPP would not leave them alone in difficult times. The flood victims also expressed gratitude to the PPP chairman for his visit.
While sharing his views with the people, Bilawal urged upon all sections of the society to forge unity to meet the challenges of natural calamity that had struck again in the province of Punjab, in particular.
Earlier, PPP had dispatched 30 trucks of relief goods to Punjab. The distribution of relief items had to commence immediately, according to PPP Punjab president.
