Altaf believes in divide and exist

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said Pakistan will cease to exist if more administrative units were not formed.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with his 61st birthday at Nine Zero, the MQM’s headquarters, he said corruption, like termite, was eating the country. Those who did not offer any sacrifice for the homeland cannot realise the real value of this country, he added.

“Our ancestors sacrificed their lives during the freedom movement,” he added maintaining that the MQM was in past, charged with making efforts to establish Jinnahpur and hatching anti-state conspiracies.

Hussain underscored the need for carving out more provinces in the country, adding there is no country on the map of the world that has large populace with such less number of provinces. He added that Pakistan is the only country that has only four provinces despite such a huge population.

Hussain demanded the local bodies system should be installed in order to save Pakistan, adding Dr Tahirul Qadri also is speaking of new provinces and Imran Khan also is demanding to introduce local units.

“Sindhi nationalists raised a lot of hue and cry against me over my statement regarding making new provinces,” he added.
