The police rescued an abducted Pakistani-origin UK national and arrested five kidnappers besides seizing arms, vehicles and other valuables from them on Monday.
Rawal Town SP Malik Karamat said that five abductors kidnapped a UK-returned Pakistani citizen from Satellite Town of Rawalpindi two days ago and demanded huge sum of money for his release.
The police traced the abductors through telephone calls and conducted raid to arrest the culprits.
During the operation, five abductors were arrested and five pistols, hundreds of rounds, Rs 600,000 cash, two vehicles and five mobile phones were recovered from their possession.
Police have registered a case against the nabbed culprits and started investigation.
