KARACHI-
Despite year long anti-criminal crackdown by police and Rangers, sporadic incidents of violence continued in Karachi as five more people, including a woman, lost their lives on today.
According to police and rescue officials, a former councilor and his son were gunned down in city’s Orangi Town locality this morning.
The victims , identified as Rashid and Adil, were sitting in a hotel when unknown biker riders opened fire on them, killing both father and son on the spot, police said.
Their bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, three bodies, including one of a woman, were recovered from the areas of Korangi Zaman Town, Gulbahar and Memon Goth areas.
Five suspected terrorists were arrested in a raid by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) in S.I.T.E area.
The arrested are suspected militants from banned group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
