Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and National Assembly (NA) opposition leader Syed Khursheed Shah has denounced Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) for dragging army in politics.
Talking to journalist on Sunday, Shah said that the two political parties staging sit-ins and protests in the federal capital did not believe in the supremacy of Parliament and Constitution.
“Their (PAT and PTI) fight is against the Parliament,” he opined.
The opposition leader claimed that masses were fed up of sit-ins and protest demonstrations as it was government’s job to restore law and order. He said that state institutions including armed forces should not be involved in politics.
Responding a question, Shah said that PPP did not want to do politics on floods. He made it clear that the Parliament will not accept any unconstitutional demand of the protesting parties.
