Hashmi can’t see any option for Khan’s return

Senior politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has warned that imposition of martial law could lead to a big rebellion besides breaking country into pieces.

Addressing a press conference Sunday, Hashmi said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) sit-ins seem to be fruitless as there was no logical end while the “oppressors have not left any option open for Imran Khan’s return”.

Hashmi said he was still waiting for a show cause notice from PTI Chairman Imran Khan. “I will send a befitting response in writing to the show cause, when it is served,” he added.

Hashmi said he would like the entire leadership of PTI including the chairman to look into his eyes when they speak with him. He said Khan should come clean and tell the nation if his decisions were not prompted by “signals”.

Hashmi said it had been decided inside the container that there would be no staging of sit-in in front of the Parliament House but later, Khan went atop the container and said the party’s core committee had a meeting. “In reality, no such meeting was held.”
