Police’s fresh criminal count: 31

Police under its ongoing drive against anti-social elements have arrested 31 accused including seven gamblers and three for their alleged involvement in immoral activities.

The police also recovered over five kilogrammes of charras, 52 bottles of liquor, 120 litres of liquor, 17 kuppi, four pistols 30-bore with 26 rounds, one dagger and 25 litre petrol from the possession of the arrested accused.

According to Rawalpindi Police spokesman, Naseerabad Police held accused Saddique Shah for having 1,050 grams charras. Pirwadhai Police also recovered 510 grams of charras from the possession of accused Ilyas.

Kalar Syedan Police netted accused Javed with 520 grams of charras. Saddar Wah Police booked accused Sajid Ali for possessing 600 grams of charras.

Naseerabad Police nabbed accused Mukamal Khan for having 610 grams of charras. Wah Cantt Police arrested accused Abdul Moheed with 500 grams of charras. Rawat Police recovered 530 grams of charras from accused Faheem.

Saddar Wah Police conducted a raid and recovered 50 bottles of liquor from the custody of accused Jahanzaib.

Airport Police acting on a tip-off raided at an illegal petrol agency and arrested accused Amad while 25 litres of petrol was also recovered.

Other accused were sent behind the bars for having illegal weapons, drugs and liquor.

Meanwhile, Airport Police on an information conducted a raid in Khayaban-e-Tanveer and rounded up seven accused persons namely Qasir, Abdar Khan, Akul Khan, Ras Khan, Mukaram Khan, Rahamat Ullah and Radi Gul as they were allegedly involved in betting while playing cards. Police also recovered Rs 39,000 cash stake money, eight mobile phones and other items.

In another raid, Pirwadhai Police arrested three from a local Hotel, two men and a woman for their alleged involvement in immoral activities.
